Do you know when you're really hungry and you smell something cooking and so then you have to have what ever it is that is cooking? Well Crusty Pie Company's pies have that effect only not with the nose but with the eyes.

I think I first came across Crusty Pie Company at the Holmfirth Farmers Market in May though I may have been mistaken. In which case Crusty Pie Company have some serious competition. However, after a visit to the Honley Show near Huddersfield, West Yorkshire in June 2007 I was able to sample some of Crusty Pie Company's wares once more. I wasn't disappointed but you can read my reviews of the Pork and Apple Stuffing pie and the Flaming Hot Chutney in the Produce tried section.

The stall was well presented and there was plenty of choice on offer. A heating lamp kept a selection of pies hot and a cabinet showcasing a selection of their wares was clean and well stocked. Most tempting was the sausage rolls and the bags of pork scratchings which were also being sold. Their position amongst the trade stand section of the Honley show meant that they were exceedingly busy so I was unable to discuss their pies in great detail. However I was able to sample their chutneys and relishes, a feature I only wish more trade stalls offered.
